Spiced Vanilla Pear Bread

When September rolls around our little backyard orchard starts dropping all sorts of fruit; pears, plums, apples and grapes. This recipe makes the pears the hero with the warm vanilla spice blend. Whether it's fall or just a day that you need to fill your house with a yummy spiced smell, you'll love this sweet bread for Breakfast or your tea. Some days we fill loaf pans with the batter and other times I use these cute muffin style bundt pans. They really do transform any baked good into the coziest fall treat.

Did you know that when you purchase from our links or our shop and when you watch our videos on YouTube you help fight human trafficking! It's true, years ago we decided to use our everyday life as a way to fight against slavery and trafficking. Since then we started hosting the Freedom Dinners and when our business started we knew we wanted it to give back too. We donate 10% of all of our profits to  ⁨@AtlasFree⁩  to fight for those that cannot stand up for themselves. We’re so glad we get to bake and garden, fill our tables and use the beauty of our everyday lives as a powerful tool for hope!

Spiced Vanilla Pear Bread

  • 1 and 1/2 cups granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/2 teaspoon all spice

  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves

  • 2 cups all purpose flour

    • this recipe works well with gluten free 1-to-1 flour as well!

Add the chopped pears, vanilla, oil, sugar and eggs to a large mixing bowl and blend until the pears are mashed.

The Yummiest Fall Spiced Vanilla Pear Bread

Add in the baking soda, salt and spices and blend. Then add in the flour and mix until fully incorporated.

Pour into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until your knife comes out clean.  The baking time varies depending on how juicy your pears are, so check consistently from 45 minutes on.

Want to make it an even yummier bread? Add a Molasses Crumble to the top (this basically turns it into cake ;)

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 Tablespoon Molasses

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 rounded cup flour

**this crumble topping is enough for 2 loaf pans. You can freeze half of it and add it to the next bread you make!

Cheers to creating a home that welcomes your family back at the end of the day. Whether you're baking these in the evening, the morning or during the day there is just something about coming home to a house that greets you with warm spices and fresh baked pear bread. Happy Baking!
