What to Plant in Your Cutting Garden to make this Exact Arrangement

When you dive into the world of flowers it can feel so overwhelming! There are so many options and so many flowers that it’s easy to get lost in the greenhouses and garden guides. So, let’s break it down and make it so simple. Here is everything you need to plant in order to create this exact Flower Arrangement straight from your garden. This assortment will make for the most beautiful garden bed full of a soft subtle color palette with so any blooms!

In a sunny patch of your yard plant:

  • Chocolate Cosmos

  • Dusty Pink Zinnias

  • Orange Cosmos (perennial variety)

  • Coral Dahlia - look for Daisy Duke or All that Jazz

  • Pineapple Mint

  • White Yarrow

  • Pale Yellow Nasturtium

In a shaded patch plant:

  • Small Leafed Variegated Hosta

  • White Japanese Cosmos (these do will with partial sun!)

Before you know it you’ll have the most beautiful flower bed with soft sunny colors and your vases will be filled with flowers that go so well together! The best bit is that almost everything on this list is a perennial so you’ll only need to replant the Zinnias and possibly the Dahlias each season. Dahlias are one of those plants that if planted in well drained soil, they’ll come back year after year. But disclaimer, they are not a true perenial. If you want to dive deep into dahlia growing and care, Floret Flower is a great resource!
