How to Create a Floral Frog Arrangement
Get ready to create the easiest floral arrangement ever! Flower Frogs are so fun to work with. They allow you to create flower art with just a few stems. The best thing is that you can use any bowl, dish, plate, vase or platter you want. We create so many of these style of arrangements for our events, weddings and private dinners. And there is almost always a new little bowl filled with flowers sitting on our kitchen island. There are a couple tricks to getting them to work properly. Here are the essentials of what you’ll need:
Floral Frog Ikebana Style Tool Kit
flower frog (I like this set because it comes with 3 sizes)
small bowl, vintage candy dish or these scalloped creme brulee bowls!
just a few flowers to fill
Tips to Remember!
Put the putty or clay on the bottom of the flower frog and stick into your vase BEFORE you add water. Press down firmly to ensure it is secure
Use flowers that have stems that are thick enough to stick onto the spikes or in-between. If the flower stems are too skinny they have a hard time standing up.
Use flowers that are different heights, shapes and textures
Cut the stems straight so they have a flat surface to sit on once pressed onto the flower frog.
Have fun mixing up the types of bowls, vases and vessels. It truly fills the table with such unique beauty!
