Simple But Delicious Cheesy Rolls Recipe
Let’s make my famous Cheesy Rolls!
I verified the number…and yes my sis-in-law ate 9 in one day which is basically the best compliment EVER! I love putting my bread machine to work whenever I make any dough. It truly creates the perfect environment for the dough to rise and be extra fluffy.
Want to know my secret tip of where to find the best bread machine? The thrift store. No, I am not joking about getting a bread machine from a thrift shop. You simply need it to turn on and run the dough cycle, and double check the dough hook is in there! You’ll save yourself about $100 PLUS you’ll give your family a whole lot of delicious bread!
I rarely use our machine for making loaves of bread, but it gets used ALL THE TIME for pizza dough, cinnamon roll dough, dinner rolls, focaccia and yes, cheesy rolls! Here’s what you need :
Kelly’s Famous Cheesy Rolls
Ingredients:
1 2/3 cups warm water
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons dry milk (check the baking aisle)
2 teaspoons salt
4 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons yeast
Cheese of your choice cut into generous 1 inch cubes
Cheese of your choice to top with
Coarse Salt to top
Directions:
- Mix the warm water, sugar, dry milk and yeast together allow to sit for 5 minutes. Now add in the Olive Oil, Salt and Flour. Knead until soft and smooth and allow to rise for 45 minutes in a warm spot. You can use the dough hook on your Kitchenaid to mix/knead! Or pull out that bread machine and use the dough setting! Layer the ingredients in from wet to dry. The machine will do all the work plus rise the dough for you!
- Butter an 11x16 pan or two 8x8’s
- Divide the dough into 24 balls, wrap up the cheese in the dough balls
- Place your cheese filled dough balls into your buttered pan
- Cover and allow to rise for 20 minutes
- Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes, or until the middle rolls are golden.
- You might need to cover with foil for the last 5-10 minutes so the outer rolls don’t get too dark
Enjoy and definitely let me know if anyone in your family breaks the 9 roll record!
