Join Us April 12th or 13th to Get your Garden Started!

The garden may be resting now, but pretty soon it will be time to start prepping the garden beds and planting those seedlings! We are thrilled to be offering both an in person and online version of this workshop.

IN PERSON GARDENING WORKSHOP — $75

This workshop is held at Ciderpress Lane, April 12th 10am and April 13th at 10 am and 2pm, the workshop will last about 2 hours

Regardless of the weather we’ll have a cozy spot set up for everyone to enjoy warm mugs of coffee or tea with a sweet Red Tin Treat while you join us in our garden so we can show you exactly how we prep our garden beds and plant our cutting garden and kitchen garden.

You’ll go home with all of the details you need to get your garden prepped and planted for spring!

Each guest will plant their own seed tray with zinnias, cosmos, cucumbers, strawflowers and zucchini.

  • Each guest will leave the workshop with the provided seed tray planted with veggies and flowers to fill one cottage garden bed

  • You’ll get to come with us into the garden as we prep one garden bed with garden soil and compost.

  • You’ll learn how to transfer your seedlings from their starting cells to the garden as well as how to direct sow

  • We’ll show you exactly how we plant our dahlias, stake them and set up their watering system

  • We’ll show you how we compost, how to start your own system and keep it healthy, plus how to use the compost in your garden beds

  • Plus you’ll get a full map on how to lay out your garden bed with the vegetables and flowers you’ve started

    • your garden bed will have zinnias, cosmos, zucchini, cucumbers, and strawflowers … a true cottage garden with vegetables and flowers!

*This workshop will be held both outside in the garden as well as in our main room if the weather is too wet - definitely come in layers so you’re warm!





ONLINE GARDEN WORKSHOP — $24.99

Join Kelly in her garden for this online workshop!

This Workshop Includes:

  • Video Tutorial from Kelly : We are in the midst of recording updated content! The Online Workshop will be emailed to you the end of March. You will have a private link to watch it at your leisure with continue open access as needed.

    In this workshop you’ll learn:

    • about compost : how we start our own compost, the system we use to keep it healthy and active, what to add to compost, plus how to use the compost in your garden beds

    • how to prepare your garden bed : even if you’re starting with a patch of weeds there are some simple ways to get it ready now! Kelly will show you how we keep our beds weed free and low maintenance, and what to do now to have the bed ready for planting.

    • seedling planting + direct sowing : you’ll learn how to transfer seedlings into the garden as well as how to directly sow seeds.

    • how to plant dahlias : Kelly will take you with her as we plant our own dahlia cutting garden, showing you how to plant your dahlia tubers, how to stake them, set up a drip system, fertilize and get them ready for a full season of blooming!
