at Harbornest in downtown Gig Harbor

We’re gathering a fresh spread of Charcuterie Small Bites, Sweet Red Tin Treats, dishes and details for a fun evening at Harbornest in downtown Gig Harbor. This hands on workshop will include all of the yummy details to help you get ready for Springtime hosting.

Kelly will share her heart for hosting, some of her favorite tips for making it stress free, plus she’ll show you all the elements she loves to include on charcuturie boards, tips on how to arrange them and then you’ll get to create your own!

Each guest will create their own delicious small bites spread to enjoy as you mingle and shop.

Plus Harbornest is filling their displays with so many fun hosting elements, so come ready to shop, sip and savor an evening together.

This is a ticketed event limited to 25 tickets - we’ll have the shop all to ourselves with plenty of space for mingling, shopping and enjoying the evening together. Be sure to reserve your spot! Details for the evening will be emailed to you once you complete your ticket purchase.

Fall in the Orchard : Apple Crisp Hands On Cooking Class

That crisp feel of Fall is just around the corner and the apple trees are ready for it. We’re just beginning to harvest bucket fulls of fresh apples and want to share our favorite Apple Crisp recipe with you!

In this hands on cooking class you’ll learn our tricks to making the crisp tart and yet so decadent, how to prep it ahead of time to make for easy hosting, plus you’ll get to create your own to bring home and bake whenever you’re ready.

Each guest will receive their own Red La Tauci ceramic pie dish to make their apple crisp in. We’re thrilled to be able to give each of our guests a piece of red bakeware to bring home to continue making your own Red Tin Treats!

We’ll begin the workshop sampling the apple crisp we’ll be making, along with our favorite Thumb Print Scones. Then we’ll dive in to the fun. Kelly will talk you thru the entire process from the best thickness of apples for crisp, to all of the ingredients for the crumble topping. Then you’ll get your hands busy making your own.

We cannot wait to welcome you into the orchard and our kitchen as we bake and welcome Fall together!

All The Details:

  • This hands on cooking class will last for about 2 hours

  • Each guest will be given their own Red La Tauci Pie Plate

  • We do ask that each guest bring their own : peeler, cutting board and knife

  • Bring your favorite apron too! We have quite a selection to choose from that you are welcome to use but it’s always fun to see everyone decked out in their favorite aprons.

  • Weather permitting, this class will be held in the Orchard. If by chance the weather is wet and cold, the class will be moved into our main room.

Workshop : Cutting Garden Flower Combs

Come join us for a Mid Summer Night of strolling through the flowers and creating your own flower comb.

We’ll start at the tables in the orchard with sweet Red Tin Treats and Summer Spritzers where Kelly will teach you how to create your own flower comb. Then we’ll take a stroll through the garden showing you which flowers work best for creating flower combs. Once everyone has their flowers we’ll head back to the orchard to enjoy the rest of the evening creating together.

We cannot wait to welcome you into the garden and orchard for a dreamy summer evening, sipping spritzers, enjoying sweet Red Tin Treats and truly enjoying creating beauty together.

Each Guest will go home with their own Flower Comb and all of the tips and tricks to fill it with beauty again and again!

Fresh evergreens, warm mulled holiday drinks and time with sweet friends creating a holiday wreath - this is what traditions are made of. We cannot wait to have you join us in making this Wreath Workshop a tradition for your holiday.

The workshops will be held at Willow & Mabel’s Flower Farm off of Central Valley Road in Poulsbo, WA. (The address and parking details will be sent to you after completing your ticket purchase.)

Workshops will take place December 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th.

The workshops will be ‘open house style’ with groups coming at their reserved time slots throughout the day. You MUST reserve tickets for a specific time and purchase your ticket in advance. Each timeslot has space for up to 5 guests. You are welcome to book all 5 spots for your group, or simply reserve 1 or 2 and join a few other lovely indivudals from our community.

When you arrive for your time slot you’ll be greeted with all the warmth and holiday magic as you enter the workshop, then Carolyn or Kelly will direct you to your workspace. Before you dive into the buckets of greenery we’ll serve you a mug of warm mulled holiday drinks and then walk you thru a personal tutorial on how to create your wreaths. Your workspace will be completely set and ready to go with everything you need; wire base, wire to wrap, snips, fresh moss, buckets of assorted evergreens, and your own personal trays of Red Tin Treats. There will be lots of space for mingling and making memories with friends plus we’ll have our Holiday Shop filled with beautiful local and fair trade items!

Each time slot has 2 hours of time blocked out for you to create your wreaths at your workstations.

To purchase a ticket :

  • choose the date you would like to attend

  • choose your time slot

  • select the number of tickets you would like

  • proceed to the cart to complete your purchase

    **if the time slot you are choosing does not have enough space for your desired amount of tickets, try another time slot :)

  • once your ticket purchase is complete you will recieve an email with all of the details, directions to the workshop and more!

Spring Tea & Posies in the Greenhouse

Join us in the Willow & Mabel Garden Co. Greenhouse for the loveliest Spring Tea and Posy Making.

You’ll be greeted by the most beautiful table filled with fresh spring blooms, tea pots steaming with true English Tea, homemade buttermilk scones, fresh jams and fruit and all of the beauty of being on the flower farm during Spring. While you sit and enjoy tea and socnes at leisure Carolyn will teach you how to make your own Spring Posy.

Once tea concludes you’ll move to the garden tables to put together your own Posy to bring home with you! All flowers, snips and arranging elements will be provided.

We cannot wait to celebrate a Spring Day on the Flower Farm with you!

Come ready for anything the lovely PNW weather can throw at us. We’ll be prepared to keep you cozy and warm in the greenhouse or basking in the Spring sun outside!

There are two workshop times available, 10am & 2pm, with limited space at each. Driving details and directions will be emailed to you once your ticket purchase is completed.

Let’s bake up some Fall Red Tin Treats Together! I’ll teach you how to make 2 of our favorites, Pumpkin Bread and Molasses Krinkles.

The Red Tins are eternally full in the Fall because baking and filling the house with the sweet smell of spices is one of my all time favorites. We’ll start out making a batch of Pumpkin Bread so there will be enough for us to enjoy as well as some for each of you to take home.

While the pumpkin bread is baking we’ll mix up a batch of Molasses Krinkles. I’ll show you the tricks to getting them to ‘Krinkle’ just right and before you leave we’ll bake a batch for us to enjoy and then I’ll send you home with dough so you can make them fresh, filling your own homes with the sweet smells of baking cookies.

You’ll leave with fresh baked Pumpkin Bread, Molasses Krinkle dough and the recipes to bake them again and again!

What will you need?

  • hands ready to mix, stir and roll cookies

  • if you have a favorite apron, bring it!

  • all ingredients, recipes, dishes and kitchen tools will be provided

Cooking Class!


I’ll be teaching you how to make 2 of our fall favorites : Apple Sauce & Apple Galettes (it’s a fancy word for a rustic pie ;). You’ll get to harvest apples fresh from the trees, prepare your own pot of Apple Sauce and then we’ll head into the kitchen to bake a fresh Apple Galette.

A Galette is a rustic pie, so I’ll be teaching you how to make my favorite homemade pie crust. We’ll roll it out, load it with apples and bake!

You’ll leave with your own batch of Apple Sauce ready to simmer at home and the recipe to cook up your own Galette!

Our Cooking Classes are all hands on, that means each person gets to be part of creating the recipes and helping with the kitchen duties. These classes are also limited to only 10 spots per class - they feel a bit like the good ole days when everyone would gather for Fall Harvesting.

Get ready for some serious FUN in the kitchen together!

What you’ll need :

  • cutting board

  • knife, we’ll be chopping apples up so bring your fave big knife.

  • large stock pot & lid or the insert to your crock pot

    **you’ll be filling it with all the ingredients for your own batch of Apple Sauce. One batch fills about four 12 oz mason jars.

  • apron!

  • no cooking experience necessary ;)

Experience the Flower Farm life with chickens moseying around your feet, the goats and sheep in the field while you treat yourself to a cool summer drink and small bites. Carolyn, the owner and operator of of Willow & Mabel Garden Co is opening her flower fields to you, inviting you to stroll down the lane with bucket and snips in hand as you head into the flower fields to select your own fresh bouquet of flowers. You’ll learn tips and tricks on how to grow your own flowers, the best way to cut them, how to care for them and arrange them.

After snipping and filling your bucket with fresh blooms we’ll head back to the shade under the apple trees where Carolyn will give you a hands on demonstration on how to arrange and care for cut flowers. We are taking care of every detail providing everything you need from the buckets, snips, vases and fields of blooms to the chilled summer spritzers, fresh fruits and sweet bites from local bakeries.

The workshop lasts around 2 hours with a leisurely, strolling down the lane pace so you can have ample time to enjoy the flower field, create your own hand cut bouquet, sip your summer spritzer and enjoy a true un-rushed day on the Flower Farm. You’ll leave the workshop with your vase filled with your own hand crafted bouquet and an experience you will always remember.

Traveling from Seattle? Make a fun day of it! You can catch either the Kingston/Edmonds ferry or the Seattle/Bainbridge Island ferry. Give yourself a little extra time and plan on making a stop in Poulsbo, it’s honestly the cutest town and it’s on your way to the Flower Farm! Be sure to give yourself time to pop into Sugar Flower Market for incredible gifts, Salt Kettle for your kitchen, Sluys Bakery for amazing baked goods, the Marina Market for all sorts of fun grocery items, Poulsbohemian for a quirky little coffee shop and Burrata Bistro or The Paella Bar for lunch or dinner! You’ll have the most amazing day with of course the highlight being your time with us on the Flower Farm. ;)
